Fountain Square Indianapolis Indiana
Fountain Square is located less than 2 miles southeast of downtown. This is an historic community as it was the center of commerce for over 100 years. It is now going through a period of restoration and rebirth, becoming a center for arts and ethnic culture. This district derives its name from the fountain which lies in the middle of the town square.
This is a great place to enjoy ethnic food, antique shopping, art galleries and family fun. The district has seven antique stores as well as places to find items to decorate your home and garden. The Fountain Square Theatre Building offers swing dancing, duckpin bowling, and rooftop dining. The Domont Studio Gallery, the Galerie Penumbra, and the Collective Art Gallery display art, while the Wheeler Arts Community houses and employs creative entrepreneurs and local artists.
