  The Indianapolis Museum of Art main campus in Indianapolis IndianaThe Indianapolis Museum of Art was founded in 1883, serving the community through unique collections and exciting programs.  It is among the oldest and largest general art museums in the country.  It displays a permanent collection of over 50,000 pieces of art that vary in range and scope.

Inside the Indianapolis Museum of Art in Indianapolis IndianaThe Indianapolis Museum of Art recently expanded its facilities - doubling in size.  Three of the newest components include the Efroymson Entrance Pavilion, the Deer-Zink Events Pavilion, and the Wood Gallery Pavilion.  The Efroymson Entrance Pavilion is the primary access point for visitors to enter into the museum.  The Deer-Zink Events Pavilion is the new setting for special events and public programs.  The Wood Gallery Pavilion has provided 50% more display space and offers improved amenities, including two Wolfgang Puck-operated restaurants. 

The Lilly House and Gardens on the Indianapolis Museum of Art grounds in Indianapolis IndianaThe Museum of Art has two complementary parts; they are the Virginia B. Fairbanks Art and Nature Park and Oldfields as well as the Lilly House and Gardens.  The Art and Nature Park is situated on 100 acres of land adjacent to the Museum of Art and is an oasis where visitors can enjoy encounters with art in nature.  The Lilly House is a 26-acre estate and museum that was once home to J.K. Lilly Jr. and has been named as a National Historic Landmark

The Indianapolis Museum of Art is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturdays from 11:00am to 5:00pm, on Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00am to 9:00pm, and on Sundays from noon to 5:00pm.  Located in downtown Indianapolis Indiana, the IMA's mailing address is 4000 Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46208.  Various tours are available.  For general information, call 317-920-2660
