Ah, the joys of eating. We humans eat for more than just bodily sustenance. Yes, included is communing with family and friends, taking in atmosphere, and even getting away from circumstances. What better place to combine all three of these reasons than Buca di Beppo restaurant in downtown Indianapolis, Castleton, or Greenwood?
If you are a fan of garlic-laden, Italian food in large, delicious quantities, then Buca (as it is commonly known around Indy) is the place for you. The quantities are so large that it requires over-sized spoons, massive bowls to hold the pasta, and tumblers from which is served the Chianti. All served family style. Remember your mother telling you that your eyes are bigger than your stomach? Get ready to hear that voice in your head.
Indulge yourself in the Buca experience of unforgettable appetizers like Bucacini which is Buca’s version of the traditional Sicilian antipasti, or a Buca trio platter of fried calamari, Pesto Bucacini and Prosciutto stuffed mushrooms. Then, add salads and pastas. Your entrees delight the palate with classic specialties such as spaghetti and meatballs. But, be prepared to tackle fist-sized meatballs. Or if you prefer, pizzas don the menu as well as great desserts. Pick out a favorite beer or fine wine with which to top off your meal.
You’ll love the food, experience and atmosphere, so come for all three. Especially if you have a group. Buca de Beppo is one of the favorites of the fantastic restaurants in Indianapolis, and certainly among the best downtown Indianapolis restaurants. Keep in mind that great food like this is in high demand, so reservations are recommended.
