Still crave it!
We live in NC and we are still craving this place! We were in town for the Formula 1 race in June and went downtown every night. We found this place on our last night in town and we didn’t want to leave…
I don’t get it…
I enjoyed dinner with my husband because of the cozy atmosphere, not quite the food. It’s a neat late-night hang out if you can get there early and reserve a booth and sit down. It’s too happening for me to enjoy a chill, quiet night; everyone else I know loves this place…
Try the Fish and Chips
The atmosphere, food and staff were great! I can’t think of a negative thing to say. (Which is really something…) The waitress, Jen, even gave me a mini-tour and history of the pub since they were not very busy and I was curious. The fish and chips was huge and a good value…
Try the Shepherd’s Pie!
The Shepherd’s Pie at Claddagh is one of my absolute favorite meals! I like it so much that I’ve never tried any of the other meals here. It’s a huge portion, so you’ll take home enough for 1 or 2 more meals! I’ve heard that the fish and chips are great as well…
Service was lackluster and would have ordered food if the bartender were more attentive. Probably not coming back.
One of the decent options downtown
The Claddagh downtown is one of the only bars you can go to on the weekend and not be in fear of being date raped or molested by some creep or stupid party girl – unlike the majority of the bars that surround it…
Warning: It’s a smoking establishment
I’ll give it a qualified “like” food and service ate good. I really like the fish&chips, but I can’t BELIEVE it’s a smoking only establishment. They do not have any non smoking area.
Stopped in on a hot afternoon to cool off and have a drink at the bar and ended up staying for several. Didn’t eat anything. The bar is really well stocked with a lot of choices and this may sound odd but their sour mix is one of the best I’ve ever had. I’m a big whiskey sour fan and many bars have really bad sour mixes – it’s usually either very very lime-y or just plain bad. This place had the perfect mix…
Great beer and hearty food
This place has a good selection of draught beers and great, hearty Irish food. I’m a fan!
