Lorenzano’s bills itself as a family restaurant, and so they are, in the great Italian tradition. The family dining room is warm and comfortable, sporting a wrap-around mural, as Italian restaurants are wont to do. They go out of their way to create specials to entice you back, such as the half-off for kids day every Thursday, or the five dollar off coupon you can print right off your computer. Lorenzano’s regularly schedules Indianapolis Colts specials on game days, as well as fascinating, flavorful wine-tastings in their bar.
This well-established dining establishment bring the light and noble warmth of Calabria, Italy to the New Country, and they brought all the family recipes with them. The Nunzio Laurenzana family now respect their heritage and the great traditions of Italian cuisine by offering authentic Italian delicacies, with a great dollop of amore, to every patron who comes through their doors.
Some favorites on Lorenzano’s menu are their Shrimp and Fettuccini Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiana served on a bed of spaghetti with homemade sauce; the Italian Chicken, grilled and boneless with Lorenzano’s spaghetti on the side; the house’s Hot Italian Stew, a Sergi Family special; Spaghetti with Italian Sausage or Meatballs; Meat- or Cheese-Stuffed Ravioli to make your mouth water long afterward; and Nana Lorenzano’s meat or cheese Lasagna.
Desserts at Lorenzano’s are likewise enticing. Try the melt-in-your-mouth Turtle Cheesecake and you, too, will become a believer.
Many families, long-time friends and groups of various types have discovered the Tuscan Room at Lorenzano’s, where a party is not simply a gathering, but a memorable event.
