Vito Provolone’s Restaurant in Indianapolis, Indiana is fast becoming one of the more popular of the many great Italian restaurants in Indianapolis, Indiana.
There’s a good solid heritage behind this family restaurant, which prides itself on the authenticity of every dish they serve. The story begins in 1910, which marked the year the founder, Vito Gramaglia, immigrated to Cincinnati and started a family. Upon his retirement in 1958, Vito took on his second career, joining his sons at Pasquale’s Pizza. Daughter Cecilia moved to Indianapolis with her immediate family to open new frontiers for Pasquale’s in the Circle City. They became more prominent within the company and passed on the career to their sons. By the 1980s, success was so well established, the family had opened several more Pasquale’s restaurants in Greenwood, a suburb of Indy.
It was probably inevitable, after such long-lived success and dedication over the generations, that the family finally opened Vito Provolone’s Restaurant. Vito’s continues to be a family-run business, and is now a fixture in town. Vito Provolone’s Restaurant is located just about ten miles due south from the inner city of Indianapolis and three miles northwest of Greenwood in Central Indiana.
It’s a quiet, cozy place out of the mainstream, and relatively new to many Indianapolis restaurant-goers. They are, however, becoming well-known for their home-made salad dressings and especially mouth-watering dishes, such as the Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, Chicken Giovanni and stuffed mushrooms appetizers.
Service at Vito Provolone’s is always top-notch. You will find some of the best pasta there you’ve ever tasted, according to fine cuisine lovers in the know.
